• JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSE
• – To supervise and direct the materials logistics function of the Azerbaijan operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Responsible for the effective operation of the Logistics function based at the Azerbaijan facility.
• Use asset tracking software and local records to maintain an accurate database of asset location.
• Prepare and issue shipping documentation; including clearance instructions and Proof of Export, for any shipment as required by the Company.
• Highlight any Low Stock items to Operations Supervisor with a view to submitting internal/external purchase orders for stock replenishment.
• Liaise with freight forwarders to ensure shipment requirements are met for imports, exports and all related import license extensions/customs declarations.
• Liaise with logistics departments of client organisations to facilitate effective & efficient utilisation of Gyrodata assets, including use of client logistics portals for loadout and backload from worksites.
• Provide final approval for any loadouts to worksites, ensuring adequate labelling and fixing of equipment packages.
• Arrange inspection and testing of items as required with the Operations Supervisor (CCU’s, subs, etc.).
• Prepare and issue any customs documentation required for shipments; and ensure correct equipment status is used.
• Maintain records of shipments to meet internal and external auditing requirements.
• Assist with the production of procedural documents and work instructions relevant to the logistics function.
• Liase with Aberdeen/Houston Logsitics departments for import/export/other as required.
• Provide logistical advice and support to local or visiting Gyrodata personnel as required, related to loadouts/backloads/equipment packing/import/export.
• Participate in departmental & Company meetings as required.
• Logistics archiving focal point for Azerbaijan Operations Department, shared with Operations Supervisor.
• Assist Operations Supervisor in any other tasks as required.

HSE FUNCTION

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible to the Operations Supervisor for managing the health, safety and environmental aspects of work activities under his/her control. He/she shall be responsible for:

• contributing to the development of company health, safety, environmental policies and procedures that are applicable to the work activities under their control and ensuring that they are properly applied at all times;
• ensuring that all work completed, under their control, is conducted in accordance with Company and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements;
• ensuring that they are fully aware of the responsibilities in respect of company and statutory health, safety and environmental requirements. This is particularly applicable to goods dispatched from the warehouse;
• identifying and providing proper instruction and where applicable training, with regard to the health, safety and environmental aspects of work performed under their control;
• advising the Operations Supervisor of the resources needed to ensure the effective application of health, safety and environmental policies and procedures within the work activities under their control;
• ensuring that all accidents and incidents that occur within work activities under their control are properly reported, recorded and investigated in accordance with company procedures and statutory requirements;
• having a personal positive attitude, towards health, safety and environmental matters and practices and developing similar attitudes among the personnel under their control;
• acting as directed by the HSE Manager to resolve HSE problems that arise in relation to activities under their control;
• attending HSE meetings as required;
•  bringing any job or workplace related HSE concerns they may have to the immediate attention of the Operations Supervisor or HSE Manager, as applicable;
• as part of their annual appraisal process, identifying personal HSE objectives and where applicable any HSE training requirements they consider necessary, for the forthcoming year.
• Participate in client HSE initiatives when working at client sites.

QA FUNCTION

• Comply with applicable quality assurance standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Azerbaijan National
• Previous experience in logistics or import/export field
• Relevant qualifications
• Good interpersonal skills
• Organised and attention to detail

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Good communication skills
• Relevant industry qualifications
• BACS Certified
