Position: Private Label Manager

Summary and Purpose of Role:
Private Label Manager guides and oversees the Private Label division to ensure implementation of the PL strategy in a line with organisation goals and objectives. PL Manager is responsible for development of the private label concept, designing the naming and brand identity of the private labels, searching suppliers for private label products, controlling the supply process. The Manager develops PL-related marketing and merchandising strategies, budgets, sales trends, and profit objectives, as well as ensures that the labels meet sales and profit goals.
Full ownership of end-to-end experience including marketing, analytics, operations and division leadership.
Job Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and instruct Private Label division on development of Brand Book in a close cooperation with Marketing Department;
- Collaborate and active participate in meetings with Category Managers (Fresh Food, Non-Food & HPC and Dry Food) to discuss their needs & requirements for Private Label products;
- Negotiate terms and conditions with foreign and local suppliers for production of private label products in line with set requirements;
- Lead the Private Label Division in initiation, development and implementation of the Private Label products’ marketing & promotion plan in a cooperation with Marketing department;
- Ensure development, implementation and control of merchandising plan in a close cooperation with Operations Department and Commercial Support and Planogram Department to boost the sale’s ratio of Private Label products;
- Lead the Private Label division on cooperation with Food Safety Department to ensure that the Private Label products are in line with required quality standards;
- Networking and active participation in local and international fairs/exhibitions in order to meet perspective producers;
- Provides leadership to direct reports including making decisions on recruiting and future skill set needs, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
Requirements to candidate:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least 5 years of marketing, sales or product-related experience
- Experience in Client Relationship Management
- In-depth knowledge of market analysis and metrics
- Hands on experience in creating reporting and managing budgets
- Excellent skills and supply chain management and stock control
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
- Communication – written, oral and presentation
