Duties & Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide support and assurance to the Engineering contractor(s) in their delivery of key studies and deliverables associated with the Optimize, Define and Execute stages of the project, including guidance on international standards requirements.
• Support and facilitate the effective delivery of the various assurance reviews required as per the Engineering Management Guide, including HAZOP, HAZID,
• Interface with the Operations, Project Management to ensure requirements are completely addressed, and ensure an integrated and coherent design is implemented for each project.
• Advise the Engineering Manager on key technical, risk and integrity issues within discipline.
• Support incorporation of Lessons Learned into the project design and to raise any project related lessons which may apply to other projects.
• Determine requirements for third party during Optimize and Define and then provide oversight and performance management against agreed scope.
• Ensure projects meet Process engineering standards and that design proceeds compliant with, Major Projects Common Process (MPcp), industry codes and Engineering Technical Practices through all stages of each project
• Collecting data required to make improvements and modifications
• Overseeing the construction of new plants
• Using and developing process simulation software to work out the best production methods
• Using scientific principles related to magnitude, momentum, heat transfer etc
• Supervising plant operations
• Investigating and troubleshooting plant/process problems
• Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines and within financial budgets
• Ensuring that equipment works to its specification and to appropriate capacities
• Liaising with installation/project engineers and specialists
• Ensuring safe working conditions and compliance with health and safety legislation.
• Preparation of various engineering deliverables (Drawings & Documents) such as Process Flow Diagrams, P & I Diagrams, Process Datasheets, Equipment Specifications, Process Control philosophies, shutdown philosophies, HAZOP Studies & reports, Operation & maintenance manuals etc. and providing necessary engineering inputs to
• e other disciplines and other departments.
• Complies with the highest level of safety during all stages of project execution to avoid any type of accidents.

Education/Experience and Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering.
• Min 3-5 year experience in process engineering of different projects
• Excellent technical skills
• Knowledge of process related standards
• Experience in process simulations
• Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
• CAD or AutoCad skills
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
