Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Location: Azerbaijan, Offshore Rig

A vacancy has arisen externally for a rotational Maintenance Supervisor position as part of the Offshore Business Unit.
The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Rig Superintendent and is responsible for the maintenance of all equipment within Company scope / area of responsibility and for the health and safety of all persons under their authority.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Maintain a preventative maintenance programme in accordance with Company policy.
• Ensure that all Third Party personnel including Service Engineers comply with Company and Installation Safety Procedures.
• Ensure that all equipment under their control complies with statutory requirements and is maintained at all times in a safe condition or is otherwise completely withdrawn from service, including tools and instruments in their care.
• Operations and maintenance of main power systems all auxiliary and associated control systems on the unit.
• The detection of machinery malfunction, location of faults to prevent or minimize damage.
• Operation and maintenance of systems for fire prevention, detection and extinction.
• Plan maintenance and repair tasks to minimise the effect on the drilling operation.
• To ensure the operational management are made aware of any maintenance schedules that are deferred, the reasons why and the potential consequences.
• Supervise the order, cleanliness and housekeeping at all relevant work sites and around mechanical equipment.
• To provide marked up updates or modify any drawings, sketches or information on existing and replacement equipment as required.
• Report any misuse of equipment to the Senior Company Representative.
• Ensure that an adequate supply of spare parts is maintained on the installation and is stored in environmentally sound conditions.
• Check materials offloaded and complete manifests and requisitions for mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Carry out and record the maintenance tasks specified by the computerised maintenance system.
• Ensure that all the Company’s reporting system data sheets are completed e.g. Maintenance tasks and Corrective Work Orders. • Recommend and when required adhere to the modifications to equipment process or systems to enhance safety, improve rig performance or comply with statutory notices.
• Liaise with client supervisors on any matters relating to the safe operation of the installation.
• Monitor any rig equipment supplied by other contractors or sub-contractors to ensure that it is suitable for use within the areas desired.
• To ensure representatives of certifying authorities on inspections of the installation are accompanied as required.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven experience as Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent maintenance skills and ability to fault find.
• Knowledge of Drilling Materials and equipment.
• Good working knowledge of CMMS and associated applications.
