What You Will Be Doing

• Back end development w/ Python/Django, Celery
• Design and build scalable systems
• Debugging
• Write new code and build new APIs

What You Need for this Position

• A BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field is required. An advanced degree is preferred
• Passionate about creating effective user experiences
• 3+ years of experience developing scalable solutions
• Have solid experience with Python
• Have solid experience with Python web frameworks (Django required; Django Rest Framework, Django channels, Celery nice to have)
• Have experience with ORM, SQL, git flow, CI/CD, design patterns
• Docker experience or equivalent container experience (Experience in DevOps is a big plus)
• 5+ years working with open-source relational database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Experience using javascript frameworks (i.e. React, Vue.js etc)
• Feels comfortable and has experience working in a Unix environment (Unix command line)
• Experience with NoSql databases such as MongoDB
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to accurately estimate work
• Commitment to provide quality completed deliverables with well-factored, maintainable code
• Experience with VCS (git)
