Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities

• Ensure contractors’ adherence to construction contracts and the included requirements, specifications and codes for the respective disciplines.
• Set up of Construction site organization plan of related discipline.
• Plan construction activities along with construction manager and interdisciplinary engineers.
• Resolve construction issues and evaluate engineering deficiencies on-site with affected teams/disciplines.
• Assign site supervisors to respective areas or activities as per the requirement of project. Issue discipline related Site Instructions.
• Review construction schedule and procurement plans.
• Daily inspection of construction activities on site including dimensional spot-checks and participation in the execution of acceptances of the contractual scope of work of contractors.
• Implement and supervise review cycle of M&DS (Material & Data Sheet), Method Statements, RLI (Red Line Indication), Technical Queries (TQ), and ITCs (Inspection & Test Certificates).
• Implement and supervise the correct handling and update of log-files for M&DS, Method Statements, RLI, TQ, ITC, SI, VOR, VO, correspondence and invoices.
• Review and approve site work permits.
• Ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
• Ensure proper hand over of work areas and correct filing of project documents.
• Communicate construction-related information to Engineering and other teams on site.
• Check and agree on delivery deadlines for prefabricated items and clarify prefabrications and intermediate transports.
• Coordinate and supervise clearance of punch points by contractors.
• Request and check “as-built” documentation of contractors and submit corrections to corresponding department.
• Initiate and supervise the collation of the final construction as-built documentation.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Above 2 years of relevant experience in Petrochemical/ downstream Oil & Gas industry.
• Experience in interdisciplinary coordination within large diversified and multicultural teams.
• Proficient in technical drawing, standards, documentation control.
• Strong understanding of design and construction codes and international quality standards.
• Proficient in MS Office and CAD.
• Candidate must fulfil all of the above requirements.
