Responsible for maintaining and enhancing DBMS. Ensure that the related applications operate functionally and efficiently 24/7. The goal is to provide a seamless flow of information throughout the company, considering both backend data structure and frontend accessibility for end-users.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance DBMS at high availability and quality
• Monitor database performance, throughput, latency, connections, monitor errors, manage  parameters to provide fast query responses
• Work with  business product owners, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and systems goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues
• Managing AWS Cloud Infrastructure, i.e. databases, IAM, and ETL(DWH) environment
• Providing operational support and maintenance for Test system (Testlink). Delivering pre-configured database software (custom Postgres images) to the banks. Administering MSSQL instances on both Windows and Linux-based servers
• Review database indexing, maintain data scrambling tool
• Implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
• Be the subject matter experts for database design, SQL coding, data extraction, transformation and loading, test data management, problem solving, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, fine tuning and database backup and recovery
• Review installation of the DBMS and set up of the IT infrastructure to allow applications to access databases.
• Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy and integrity
• Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
• Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards

Requirements:

• Proven working experience as a Database Administrator MS SQL Server 2008/2012/2016, (2017/ 2019) PostgreSQL, MySQL
• Experience with architecting and configuring: SQL Server High Availability (HA) solutions; Failover Cluster Instances; AlwaysOn Availability Groups; Log Shipping; Backup / restore procedures.
• Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding
• Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third party tools
• Familiarity with programming languages API, strapi.io, or generally headless CMS is a strong plus
• Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
• Good communicator, be able to converse and work with application programmers, business end users, IT and business managers and other DBAs in the network banks.
• Construction of standard SQL Server deployment packages that meet customer specific requirements;
• Deep understanding of SQL Server and underlying host performance metrics and analysis;
• Deep understanding of the SQL server OS and internal functionality;
• Experience with ETL, DTS, T-SQL, SQL Server, SSRS and SSIS;
• Experience in SQL server user and access rights management and AD integration;
• Experience migrating and / or managing SQL server databases in the Cloud (Azure or AWS);
• Experience with multiple database platforms is a plus;
• Working knowledge of both Linux and Windows based operating systems is preferred.
• Advanced level of English language
