NDT Inspector

Reporting to: QA/QC EngineerS

Duties:

NDT Inspector is responsible for performing inspections of various NDT techniques in PT, MT and UT methods in accordance with the company, codes and customer specifications and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect raw materials, welds, and finished products throughout the manufacturing process.
• Preparation of reports of conducted NDT activities;
• Setting up and calibrating NDT equipment;
• Performing UT, MT, and PT appropriate codes requirements;
• Evaluate test results and make accurate accept/reject decisions in accordance with appropriate reference acceptance criteria of standards;
• Preparation weekly report of project progress;
• Estimation of NDT Consumables for all techniques;
• Coordination and Verification of NDT documentation;
• Planning and co-ordination of NDT activities;
• Developing processes and procedures to support quality assurance activities and rigorous testing.
• Comply with all company and industry safety standards;

Competency requirements:

Education:

• Higher education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Current NDT Level II certifications in UT, PT, and MT (EN or ASNT)

Training:

• General information about the ISO 9001 and EN standards relevant to NDT and welding

Skills:

• Good knowledge written and verbal in English
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to use measuring devices like gauges, meters, callipers
• In-depth understanding and following of company procedures and policies
• Up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, specifications and best practices
• Blueprint reading capabilities
• Documentation and reporting skills
• Teamwork and collaboration
• Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel.
• Excellent report-writing skills.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 (three) years in relevant positions familiarity with appropriate codes and regulations for EN and ASME.
