About the Role

The role of the HSE trainer is to provide HSE training to all the employees of ILK working in HAOR Project. Duties of ah HSE trainer include identifying areas of improvement and organizing training materials and scheduling training sessions, and submitting timely reports to the Head of HSE on progress.

Key Accountabilities:

• Under the direction of the Head of HSE, the HSE Trainer will develop and deliver HSE Training programs to ILK employees & subcontractors.
• Prepare and update the HSE training matrix and annual training plan based on HSE/legal requirements and results of trend analysis.
• Deliver in-house Health and Safety Training based on HSE Training Plan.
• Conduct assessment based on the provided training.
• Organize HSE training programs including the date, time, location, and duration of training events.
• Maintain HSE training records & register for new and existing staff and ensure they are updated as required.
• Communicate with the Head of HSE for any additional HSE training requirements at various phases.
• Determine HSE training needs for staff and develop best practices for required training.
• Improve and adapt existing training programs for delivery and efficiency.
• Retrain employees when industry or company best practices are updated.
• Order workbooks and additional training materials required for training programs.
• Prepare training materials/presentation slides on HSE subjects for all HSE training identified in the training matrix and any project-specific HSE training.
• Assist in HSE campaigns.
• Coordinate with external training providers for the training inside or outside the company premises.
• Administer and control the documentation for training programs and maintains all training records

Expected Qualifications:

• Preferably a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• H&S-related qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH).
• Train the Trainer, IOSH & NEBOSH approved trainer

Expected Experience:

• 5+ years of HSE experience in a training role

 Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to develop and deliver H&S training sessions
• Knowledge of Federal occupational safety regulations including OSHA, FAA, MSHA, EPA and health standards such as ANSI, NFPA, NEC and other non-regulatory safety codes and standards required.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office suite required
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Safety experience or formal safety education preferred.
