Workshop Operations Manager

Job responsibilities:

• Maintain high level of HSE standards in workshop
• Manage and maintain high efficiency of operations and activities at the workshop and high level of discipline, order and cleanliness of the workshop
• Cooperate with operations managers and generate and establish quality management system and related procedures for all workshop operations
• Implement and manage quality control and assurance procedures, including recording NCRs, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions
• Generate and timely review workshop standard operation procedures
• Maintain high efficiency of activities at the workshop and be responsible for optimum utilization of resources available for the workshop in terms of machinery, manpower, utilities, consumables etc. for the various jobs being conducted for various clients. Maintain the planning and scheduling tracker and keep up to date on weekly basis
• Generate the register of workshop equipment and tooling which require periodic maintenance and calibration; organize/arrange efficient utilisation, maintenance and calibration of workshop premises and the equipment on timely manner.
• To be able to manage the facilities and ensure compliance to all regulatory authorities (including but not limited to) Governmental organizations, DNV, AEMT, EASA.
• Maintain and follow up to ISO, API, IECEX and ATEX standards
• Coordinate with Warehouse Manager and monthly review workshop consumables in General store and ensure procurement, management, and inventory of all direct and indirect materials used in shop operations
• Coordinate with other departments within the Company for issues related to administration, logistics, quality and purchase.
• Coordinate with HSE coordinator and ensure that all lifting equipment of the workshop are timely maintained/tested and test certificates are available and up to date.
• Ensure that the activities of the workshop are well coordinated in order to complete the jobs received within the allocated time frame and quality parameters.
• Coordinate with Operations Managers to ensure that completion and submission of all required documentation to support the workshop activities, including damage reports, repair procedures, quality tests and results, completion reports, additional work reports and etc. are in place.
• Ensure that all divisions have annual goals and objectives aligned with those at a corporate level, and all employees receive a written annual performance appraisal.

• Ensure compliance with customer contracts and specifications.
• Ensure that workshop machinery is well-maintained in compliance with a documented preventive maintenance program and all related consumables to that machinery are timely purchased.
• Ensure that workshop’s machine shop utilized at maximum efficiency and operation of machines is running under job priorities and all machine operations are covered by related route card.
• Create workshop repair job packs and standardize them along with all service /operational stream lines of the Company.
• Establish, monitor, and communicate operational key performance indicators and targets
• Develop and implement continuous improvement plans to minimize cost and maximize productivity, efficiency, productivity, capacity, and quality.
• Cooperate with Operations Managers to ensure the revenues of the workshop are met along with the profitability targets.
• Manage the workshop facility and ensure that all the jobs handled are completed and delivered on time, within the cost allocated, in compliance with the quality and safe working environment.
• Ensure daily morning operational toolbox talks takes place and are documented.
• Ensure professional segregation and utilisation of workshop operational waste is in place.

Professional Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Engineering or related field.
• Strong QA/QC background and experience on quality management system
• Experience and familiarity with standards of ISO, API, IECEX and ATEX
• 10+years of proven direct supervision and management experience (Oil and Gas Operations & Service industries preferred).
  Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, build consensus, and facilitate problem-solving and collaboration amongst cross functional teams.
• Should have sound knowledge of machining work, maintenance, repair and major overhaul of such units as heat exchangers/coolers, top drives, valves, air compressors, rotating equipment, electric motors & generators & alternators.
• Ability to balance delivery of results, problem solving, and client management.
• Develop a high level of personal and professional credibility within all levels of the organization and external clients.
•  Strong observation, analytical, numerical reasoning, business acumen, and leadership skills.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced, high pressure, and changing environment.
• Exceptional communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills.
• Ability to succeed in a team environment and deliver/receive daily constructive feedback.
