TWI in Azerbaijan is providing Inspection and NDT Services (3rd party Inspection), Consultancy services of Material, Corrosion Engineering, Research and Consultancy, Failure investigation, Structural Integrity assessment, Welding Engineering, Engineering Facilities (Procurement) WPS & PQR, WQT and international training & Certification (www.twi-global.com).
Responsibilities:
- Checking and monitoring of quality compliance of welded materials, welding consumables and equipment;
- Understanding test methods and procedures;
- Control of Documentation and Data (Reporting);
- Responsible for ensuring that the equipment’s used for testing are all functioning to its maximum and according to safety regulations;
- Monitor site welding activities;
- Verify fit-up and carry out visual inspection of critical joints as required;
- Witness welder qualification test;
- Witness WPS/PQR qualification test;
- Witness welder`s audit conducted by the Contractor` inspector;
- Verify monitor calibration of the welding apparatus
- Monitor welding consumables storage condition and issue.
- Monitor raw material storage and traceability.
- Monitor PWHT activities and review reports.
- Monitor certification status and review reports produced by the Contractor` inspector
- To carry out random verifications and planned surveillances of correctness and applicability of the WPS and welder’s qualification.
- Assist and advise contractor` inspectors on code / specification requirements
- Report non-compliances and unsafe acts observed
- Compile daily and weekly reports.
Requirements:
- For Azerbaijani National Only
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience;
- Degree in Engineering;
- Valid CSWIP 3.1 (Welding Inspection Certificate);
- Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of design, manufacture, materials, corrosion, welding, codes, standards;
- Ability to detect and measure weld discontinuities;
- Ability to interpret drawings, blueprints, and engineering documents;
- Ability to compile reports;
- Knowledge of welding symbols, welding maps;
- Knowledge of welder and welding qualification procedures and standards;
- Knowledge of welder and welding safety standards;
- Knowledge of common welding process and fabrication practices;
- Knowledge of common construction materials and their weldability characteristics;
- Knowledge of filler metal types and characteristics;
- Azerbaijani and English language skills are mandatory;
- Salary is Negotiable.
