Location : Baku, Azerbaijan.

Key Role:

Responsibility for the management, coordination, and control of all activities associated with Baku Office Operations, overseeing on-site Transportation, ensure all material movements are conducted effectively and efficiently without compromising HSSEQI requirements. An air freight manager deals with the shipment of their company’s goods from the supplier until it reaches its end point, the receiver.

Interfaces with:

• Airlines/GSAs of Airlines in Baku
• Suppliers
• Agents in field of Air Freight Industry
• Operations Supervisor
• HSSEQI Manager
• Senior Air Freight Manager – London Operation Centre
• LV Operations & Customs Departments.

Responsibility & Objectives:

• Ensure operational requirements run in accordance with the pre agreed requirements
• Managing communications and operations between agents, client offices & teams
• Ensure mobilization and overall transit times requirements are minimized and achieved in line with pre agreed requirements
• Management and supervision of cost control and cost savings
• Acting as point of contact between Client’s Project Manager / Team
• Coordinating and fostering teamwork
• Managing Air freight team performance and delegating responsibilities as required
• Establishing and implementing reporting requirements on project progress as required
• Offer direction and leadership to Air Freight Team
• Ultimate accountability and responsibility for the day to day operations of the project to ensure success.
• Management and responsibility for day to day activities of the Air Freight Team / Members
• Ensure all Client requests / queries are handled effectively and in a timely manner
• Identify potential problem areas that will or may affect the supply of services and take necessary remedial action to mitigate such problems
• Responsibility, as part of the Contract delivery team, for the performance of Suppliers/Sub-contractors.

Main Objective:

• Overall responsibility for managing project resources and ensuring material movements are conducted effectively and efficiently in line with HSSE & Quality requirements.
