Main Duties

  • Is thoroughly familiar with Menu, Beverages, wine list and prices.
  • Knows ingredients and methods of preparation for all mixed drinks and must know wines, which compliment various food items.
  • Ensures that all beverage items are properly presented and served at the correct temperature.
  • Will co-ordinate the collection and distribution of the arrival amenities as per the arrival lists and will be continuously in touch with the butler order taker to accept and action last minute changes, special requests etc.
  • Will closely co-ordinate with the Cost Controller for the monthly inventory of the Dispense bar.
  • Will inform the managers directly in case of any discrepancies / shortages in the bar after the routine inventories.
  • Will ensure that the correct beverages are dispensed from the bar as per the KOTs.
  • Follows the standard operating procedures given, every time.
  • Will always be punctual and report on duty as scheduled in the duty roster.
  • Takes immediate action when service is requested, and helps colleagues without prompting.
  • Is adept at responding to all guest requests with a positive “YES” and then takes the necessary action to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • To give a very elegant, warm and personalized service to the guest.
  • Uses guest’s name at least twice during delivering and pick up. Immediately bring to the attention of the manager if a guest is not satisfied.
  • Co-ordinate preparation and delivery of orders with kitchen staff when assigned to.
  • Becomes familiar with all activities in the hotel and is able to answer guest’s questions pertaining to these activities.
  • Serves with a smile and follows the standards and sequence of service.
  • Will maintain Grooming and appearance as per hotel standards.
  • Will not discriminate between colleagues on the basis of gender, race or nationality and will try to actively promote good and healthy working relations across all levels of staff.
  • Must be able to perform any other duties as may reasonably be requested by the management.

Requirements:

  • Good command of Azeri, Russian and English
  • Ability to handle large restaurants and guest volumes on a daily basis.
  • Should be able to work under pressure in a customer service environment
  • Must have worked at least 2 years in a similar position
  • Must be able to work shifts – days, evenings, overnight, weekends and holidays
