Business Excellence Project Manager

Manage projects to support SDM’s Business Excellence and Transformation program.

 Responsibilities:

• Monitoring build progress, overseeing finance and ensuring project quality
• Making management decisions and providing leadership and direction to project leads to implement those decisions
• Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
• Meeting with clients, stakeholders and project managers to report on project progress
• Liaising with clients and building strong working relationships
• Devising cost-effective plans to enable effective project completion
• Monitoring risks to avoid delays or reputational damage
• Ensuring permits and legal papers are secured ahead of the project
• Managing project leads and enabling them to supervise and manage their own teams
• Developing a timeline for the completion of a certain milestone for a given project
• Creating budget for the completion of a particular task, and monitoring the amount of money spent in order to ensure the project does not exceed this amount
• Recommending changes to a project that is ongoing if it appears not proceeding on schedule or is producing unsatisfactory results
• Developing an alternate course of action for completing a job should the initial plan fail
• Making presentations to investors, business partners and company executives concerning different phases of a project
• Contracting with outside agencies for support on a needed basis
• Managing available resources, including teams working on the project
• Tracking different elements of the project plan and making adjustment where needed to stay on track

Requirements:

• BSc and MSc degrees in technical/engineering
• PMP sertifikatı / PMP Certified
• More than 8 cumulative years of experience in project engineering management role(s) in primarily oil and gas, oil/gas treatment, refinery, petrochemical, or chemical industries.
• Managing group/team of min 8 cross-discipline specialists/engineers.
• Managing engineering project support aspects of mid to high scale international projects (from 10 million USD up to 1 billion USD budget).
• Experience in all stages of project life cycles starting from conceptual design, feasibility, FEED and into EPC and commissioning/start-up.
• Experience of initiating and concluding tenders, drafting İTBs and/or RFQs, technical SoWs and/or SoRs, bid evaluation and selection.
