Civil Engineer in Construction Projects

Key Responsibilities

• Estimate construction costs for projects;
• Inspect and test materials used in construction; perform difficult construction inspection such as enforcing provisions of major contracts;
• Be able to read and understand drawings as well as analyze materials needed in order to prepare MTO (Material take off) document
• Coordinate with project engineering team to receive needed documents in a timely manner according to the project work schedule
• Facilitate design of some items which is applicable at site in connection with engineering head office to prevent interruption of site activities
• Be responsible against all construction team technical queries and provide them with a suitable reply in a convenient time
• Perform related duties as required.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Master’s in Engineering

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of experience in the related field.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledge of the principles and practices of Engineering
• Able to research and analyze information of considerable difficulty and draw valid conclusions
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes and equipment
• Strong technical English language skills
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Strong work ethic
• Open-minded, collaborative, and team oriented attitude
• Ability to work under pressure and handle intensive work
• Good time management skills
