Job Description:
A Commercial & Contracts Manager will be managing all commercial aspects of Client Main Contract and all subcontracts. Ensure all monthly valuations are calculated correctly and in line with agreed BOQ. He/she will also be responsible for financial management of projects, recognising business opportunities and putting together bids to win new scopes or projects as well as negotiating and agreeing contracts.
Requirements:
- High School Education
- Minimum 5 years experience in contracts management (in construction industry)
- Strong commercial awareness and numeracy skills
- Understanding of FIDIC type of contracts
- Solid understanding of legal terminology
- Strong attention to detail
- Teamwork and management skills
- Fluent in Azeri/English, written & Spoken
- Excellent MS Excel skills
Responsibilities:
- Ensure ample understanding of all contracts
- Manage the Contract lifecycle, including but not limited to: draft, modification, execution, amendments and renewal of Contracts
- Ensure monthly valuations are cross checked with the contracts and submitted in timely manner
- Manage Variation Orders from request to full close-out
- Negotiation of legal terms and review of scopes of work with a goal of quality assurance
- Meet with customers to discuss both legal and business matters
- Ensure the organization’s internal contract documents are accurate and well maintained
- Develop and keep updated Project Cash Flow Forecast
- Work closely with subcontractors’ commercial teams
- Communicate commercial risks and mitigation alternatives
- Any other tasks as may be required by Project Manager
