JOB DIMENSIONS / CONTEXT

Absheron Early Production Scheme (EPS) is an early development phase to target a first gas production mid-2022.
The Full Field Development studies have started based on the promising results of EPS well ABD001.
JOCAP Joint Operating Company of Absheron Petroleum is a new Company created in March 2018, which is the Operator of Absheron from August 2018.
Absheron development reference agreements are PSA, JOA and addendums.
EPS Project technical data:
152Mscf/d of gas, 12kbbl/d of condensate; production from 1 subsea well, 34km multiphase flowline, dedicated new platform installed at Oil Rocks field (operated by SOCAR); WHSIP = 555bar, WHFP = 380bar.

ACTIVITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The job holder is accountable for demonstrating an exemplary behaviour with regard to SSE rules & requirements, with regards to the Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and for implementing these rules and requirements within his area.
The job holder main responsibilities are to supervise the specialized contractor for piping Commissioning activities. The job holder will also actively participate to the interfaces with the Platform Contractor in its area of expertise and to the Commissioning in general. The position of Commissioning Engineer is a resident job, Baku based, with the objective to switch for a 4 weeks rotation job, first onshore in Baku and then offshore on Absheron EPS platform.

Main job holder’s activities:

• Supervise the onshore preparation of Flange Management and piping Leak Testing activities:
• Review of the contractor documentation and leak Test Packs,
• Participation to regular and specific meetings with the contractor and ensure that the contractor is delivering as per plan,
• Supervise the preparation and shipment of all the necessary equipment and ensure that all equipment and personnel are mobilized offshore as per the schedule.
• Participate to the preparation of the Commissioning in general. This includes:
• Support the Completion Coordinator in the development and implementation of the Commissioning sequence,
• Support the Completion Coordinator in maintaining up to date the Commissioning Sub-systems battery limits and associated mark-ups drawings,
• Follow-up the Commissioning interfaces with the Absheron Platform Contractor in the piping discipline. In particular:
• Support the Jocap Construction team for the follow-up of piping Pre-commissioning activities (hydrotesting, flushing/cleaning),
• Support the Completion Coordinator for Test Packs implementation in the completion software,
• Follow-up punches clearance.
• Supervise the offshore execution phase of the Flange Management and piping Leak Testing activities:
• Ensure at all time that the activities are carried out as per the HSE regulations and Jocap rules,
• Уnsure that the Permit To Work procedure is correctly implemented and that JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Pre-job meetings are performed prior to job execution on the field. Conduct them as necessary,
• Ensure the preparation of the daily activities: preparation of the planning, readiness of the necessary drawings, materials, tools and spare parts,
• Witness and validate the offshore Commissioning piping activities,
• Follow-up the punch list and Areas of Concern. Plan and supervise the closure of the punches
• Ensure that all activities are recorded and monitored as per the requirements of the completion software. Participate to the progress reporting
• Support the Completion Coordinator in building the Commissioning Dossiers up to the issuance of the Commissioning certificates
• Supervise the preservation of all piping equipment

HSE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Take reasonable care of own Health and Safety and that of Others who may be affected by their acts at work
• Each employee, at his level of responsibility, must observe all Company Rules, Procedures and instructions in the performance of his own task
• Exercise such caution as is necessary to avoid danger to persons and installations or to avoid pollution
• Report any anomaly, abnormal conditions and near miss to supervisor
• Participate actively in or lead when required HSE meetings, safety talks, tool boxes, training sessions and drills
• Authority to suspend activities when there is a potential or actual threat to human life, the installation or the environment, and notify forthwith the responsible supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

• Level / Diploma: Bachelor degree in Process Engineering
• Professional Experience : minimum 2 years in Oil and Gas industry
• In-depth knowledge of : Oil and Gas process
• Offshore experience would be appreciated
• Other required Competencies: Interface with contractors/subcontractors, able to work in autonomy, able to assert his/her leadership
• Fluent in English language.
