POSITION DETAILS

Title: Cost Accountant
Department: Budget & Control
Location: Sumgait

POSITION SUMMARY:

• This position is responsible for controlling and analysing of costs incurred during production and day to day operation. Other main duties are preparing cost reports, assisting to Manager in month end procedures, analysing of activities and cost drivers. The position requires good knowledge in cost accounting principles and treatment. Also, good presenting and analysing skills.

JOB DUTIES:

• Reports on periodic variances and their causes, focusing on spending variances
• Reports on breakeven points by products
• Assists Budget and Control Manager in making estimates of new and proposed product costs
• Assists Budget and Control Manager in comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products
• Assists Budget and Control Manager in Planning, studying and collecting data to determine costs of business activity, such as raw material purchases, inventory and labor
• Prepares actual versus budget analysis, analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs
• Uses and applies ABC (Activity Based Costing) method
• Able to prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
• Other duties requested by Line Manger

Education and experience:

• Minimum 2-4 years’ work experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst or similar role
• Advanced knowledge of Azerbaijani
• Good knowledge of English is a must
• Working on ERP system like SAP or any similar will be considered as advantage
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
• CIMA P1 or ACCA F5
