Data Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Decompose high level business needs into functional needs by understanding problem and determining data needs
• Document business requirements to depict user needs with complimentary technical requirements
• Collecting and disseminating data reports according to use.
• Analysis of the database to identify incorrect information;
• Design business analysis and data recording systems for use throughout the team
• Compilation and analysis of requirements for financial statements (General Ledger, BalanceSheet, Cash Flow)
• Extract, filter and aggregate data through logical queries and basic programming
• Analysis of the developed SQL statements for errors, for the influence of missing information as well as periodically to take the necessary measures to optimize these reports
• Close cooperation with the Data Architect in the daily work on the analysis of the database

Requirements:

• Higher education (Computer science prefers information technology);
• Knowledge of the banking / financial sector (experience is an advantage);
• Ability to build general algorithms
• Strong T-SQL knowledge
• Knowledge of Python, one of the R programming languages desirable
• Ability to work with Tableau, SSRS, Power BI or other analyseBI tools
• Good level of English
• Good knowledge of Azerbaijani or Russian language;
• Knowledge of MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) programs
• High level of analytical skills;
• Attention to all kinds of details;
• Willingness to learn and try new technologies;
• Perseverance and responsibility, ability to carry out routine work;
