As a member of the Deloitte Legal team, you will assist experienced professionals in researching legislation, drafting advice to clients, and fulfilling any other tasks to help the clients comply with the applicable legislative requirements and achieve their business objectives.
The role will involve:
- Conducting research on various areas of the law and drafting professional advice upon request of the supervising team members;
- Drafting and reviewing various documents (templates, letters, contracts, requests etc.);
- Assisting the team members with internal projects (drafting alerts, conducting legal events, etc.)
- Maintaining effective communication with the clients and informing them on issues relevant to their industry and business;
- Coordinating the correspondence and deliverables with supervising team members, giving status updates on client related and internal project in a timely and clear manner;
- Keeping team members and clients updated of any changes to the legislation;
- Visiting client office, state authorities, ASAN offices, notaries, courts if so required within the project scope.
Requirements:
- Graduate degree in law with academic excellence, postgraduate degree from a foreign university will be an asset;
- Advanced written and spoken Azerbaijani and English language skills; good command in Russian will be an asset;
- At least two years of experience as a lawyer in a consulting firm, or at least three years of experience as an in-house lawyer;
- Ability to thrive in an environment of pressing deadlines and dynamic conditions;
- Time management, multiple project management skills, ability to work in a team, knowledge sharing and supervision skills;
- Proven creativity, ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions;
- Excellent business sense and presentation skills.
