Abyss is a start-up that is currently building an online hub for developers to communicate, network and trade digital parts worldwide. It is an Ecosystem that intertwines the marketplace with a forum thus strengthening the coder community while generating a monetary incentive for creators. At Abyss we aim to ease the process of coding for all individuals while helping them, and businesses, maximize efficiency. Our platform exists to remedy the failures of currently existing sources that coders turn to by incentivizing supply and creating a better community. Abyss has been in development for just over a year and is about to get launched very soon. It has been registered as a corporation in the US and as MMC (Ltd) in Azerbaijan.

Job Description:

• We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join our team as a Front-End Developer and work closely alongside the founders to help turn their vision into a global platform. Your goal is to bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it functions. The project runs in Laravel.
• You will be expected to work for at least 40 hours a week and the work will be hybrid (some days office some days remote).

Technical Skills:

• Web mark-up, including HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, Redux (Redux Toolkit)
• Typescript
• client-side rendering and server-side rendering
• ReactJS
• NextJS
• Axios
• Git

• Ability to work well as part of a team
• It is a large and heavy project, so naturally, you will face tasks and issues that will be completely new to you. That is why, it is most important that you can learn new skills and acquire knowledge fast.
• 1200-2000 AZN (salary varies depending on candidate’s experience and skill set) + potential shares in the company!
• Fluency or Full Professional Proficiency in English required! Work is conducted in English.
