Key Functions:
- Maintain up-to-date Housekeeping files on each unit, recording, type of clean and date, arrival inspection checks, and cleaning/work order charges.
- Assist Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Manager in daily operation of Housekeeping-Inspections of floors, pantries etc.
- Establish priorities of work and repairs to be done and constantly follow-up until work is completed.
- Actively participate in training and development programs and maximize opportunities for self-development.
- Report to the Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Manager of employee’s progress and to keep training records up to date.
- Assist to manage all aspects of room arrival to ensure guests amenities are properly set up.
- Enter work orders as requested by Managers/Supervisors via Netsis (Hotel Management Program).
- Follows up on work orders and guest requests to ensure timely completion and guest satisfaction.
- Answer calls from other departments, floors, guests rooms and respond to them in a timely manner.
- Maintain office spreadsheets and other documents as assigned by Housekeeping Supervisor or Manager
- Train Housekeepers in cleaning procedures, as well as company policies and procedures
- Assist Housekeeping Supervisor with opening and closing procedures, including assignment of units to housekeepers, preparing daily clean sheets, and piecework totalling at the end of the day. Keep inventory of supplies and chemicals on record.
- Perform other duties as requested by management
Requirements:
- Must be proactive with a meticulous eye for detail
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and Guest
- High school diploma preferred, or its equivalent
- Experience in a coordinator capacity in a hotel Housekeeping environment
- Proven training skills
- Experience with Hotel Property Management System, Micros-Opera desirable
