Job description:

• Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses into a wide variety of industries, technologies, and companies;
• Lead the sourcing efforts to build and maintain a pipeline of new innovation opportunities;
• Maintaining and growing the internal database of startups;
• Optimize and iterate on our existing startup scouting processes;
• Develop and carry out proactive market intelligence, competitive intelligence, and emerging trend research activities based on key priorities identified by team leader;
• Provide management with regular trend analysis and function reporting;
• Researches and evaluates new ideas and potential opportunities for partnership with startups;
• Performs technology scouting relevant to cross-business strategy;
• Engage in due diligence to assess the sourced startups;
• Networks with startups, corporations, venture capital communities and universities;
• Collect information on companies/ eco-systems, innovative approaches, competitors, supply chains;

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor/master degree in relevant field;
• 5 year of professional experience in relevant position;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Azerbaijani and English is a must. Knowledge of Russian and Turkish is a plus;
• Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), professional presentation skills;
• Hands-on knowledge and experience with the startup ecosystem, venture capital and/or support system for the development of entrepreneurship;
• Personal interest in technology, innovation, the startup world, and entrepreneurship;
• Strong analytical skill, and comfort with various programs, data analysis and internet technologies with proven ability to think creatively;
• Ability to identify emerging trends;
• Corporate innovation, consulting, venture capital, or startup experience is highly desirable;
• Knowledge of Finance/Insurance market is preferable;
