Junior Data Scientist

Job description:

• Contribute to the development and maintenance of models in Group Risk Department;
• Work proactively to address project requirements and articulate issues/challenges to reduce project delivery risks;
• Maintain and improve current in-use econometric and Machine Learning Models;
• Work closely with team to deep dive into different Machine Learning Models.
• Build algorithms and design experiments to merge, manage, interrogate and extract data;
• Read documentations about past models and fine-tune them;
• Test different data sets in order to validate the model;
• Maintain clear and coherent communication, both verbal and written, to understand data needs and report results to the senior data scientist.
• Improve data collection methods.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s  degree in relevant area;
• 3 years of professional experience in relevant area;
• Knowledge of programming Languages (Python and R), Machine Learning frameworks and libraries;
• Good econometric or statistical knowledge along with algorithmic knowledge;
• Strong knowledge of MS Office programs;
• Proficiency in Azerbaijani and English, Russian is a plus;
• Function Specific Certificates/Licencces is a plus;
