Position Responsibilities:

• Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary HSE behavior, to implement HSE rules and requirements.
• Support the Commissioning Mechanical Lead in planning and preparing the mechanical Commissioning activities. Plan the work of his/her team of mechanical technicians for the next days
• Ensure that all drawings, materials, tools and spare parts necessary for the performance of the mechanical Commissioning activities remain available for the work, ready on time, properly calibrated and in working order
• Conduct JSA (Job Safety Analysis) and Pre-job meetings prior to job execution on the field. Ensure that all team members are fully aware and understand all the projects safe working practices and adhere to them to maintain a SAFE working environment
• Comply with and understand the Permit To Work procedure enforced at both onshore and offshore locations
• Perform with his/her team the Functional testing and Operational Test procedures in his/her area of responsibilities as per Project Specifications. Follow-up and verify compliance of the mechanical equipment of the plant with technical specifications and drawings.
• Coordinate daily commissioning activities of his/her team in order to ensure the most efficient utilization of his/her personnel resources and ensure that all his/her Commissioning activities are completed in accordance with the planning
• Monitor that adequate preservation of mechanical equipment is implemented as planned before, during and after the commissioning activities
• Follow up the punch list and be proactive in punch lists items clearance process.
• Support as necessary the other disciplines (electrical, instrumentation, ICSS, Telecom, HVAC, etc.) in the performance of their Commissioning activities

Essential Qualification and Experience:

• 8 years of experience in mechanical rotating and static equipment, either in maintenance or commissioning, in particular in centrifugal and reciprocating pumps and in screw compressors. Previous experience in Commissioning and previous Offshore experience appreciated
• Able to perform rotating machinery alignment, disassembly/reassembly, operations, maintenance and preservation, etc.
• Able to understand P&IDs, mechanical drawings and all necessary engineering documents for the performance of the Commissioning and troubleshooting activities
• A recognized mechanical qualification.
• Able to read / write and speak English. Local language is a plus.
• Experience in team management and skilled in external communication, able to work in a multicultural environment.
• Valid BOSIET and medical certificate for offshore work
