Job brief:
Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with knowledge of sales and customer service best practices in tourism and/or hospitality sector. The candidate should also be able to interpret sales metrics and be goal-oriented. S/he is expected to perform well in a team environment and apply exceptional skills.
Ultimately, s/he should be able to contribute in creating and maintaining very good partnership and customer relationships and ensuring smooth sales operations.
Responsibilities:
- Study and improve MICE products as well as reveal the main trends
- Work based on the company’s policy
- Search new resource markets (countries) and sort out the most potential foreign partners to contract with
- Ensure presence of the company’s profile in the leading online MICE portals and keep it updated
- Conduct oral and written communications
- Process incoming queries, requests and orders
- Design and calculate MICE packages
- Book halls, venues, accommodation, transportation, etc.,
- Discover and develop new MICE scenarios and services
- Initiate and track contracts with the local service suppliers
- Keep the suppliers’ rates updated and renegotiate on case-by-case basis
- Maintain invoicing and chase payments from partners/clients as well as handle the suppliers’ due bills
- Escort MICE groups in the territory of Azerbaijan, whenever needed
- Promote MICE-related FAM trips and participate accordingly
- Represent the company in the local and international events
- Prepare and submit reports on monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience in the similar position
- Higher education (bachelor)
- Good knowledge of Azerbaijani and Russian, intermediate English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in working with documents and agreements
- Confident user of PC, Internet, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel etc.,)
- Capable user of office equipment (fax, printer, scanner)
- Knowledge of business ethics
