Responsibilities:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant field or any other relevant training;
- Experience as Netadmin, Network Technician or relevant position;
- Knowledge of LAN/WAN networks, TCP/IP protocols and network technologies;
- Experience with common software, hardware and peripheral network devices (routers, switches, hubs, fiber optics, access points, etc.);
- Proficiency in switching, routing and IP addressing;
- CCENT/CCNA or CCNP qualifications;
- Knowledge of software technologies IPAM, Network Monitoring, AD, Multicast;
- Ability to work on call outside of regular working hours;
- Working well both independently and in team;
- Excellent logical, mathematical and technical skills;
- Ability to learn quickly;
- Good communication skills.
Requirements:
- The Network Technician is accountable for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of the communication networks such as Local Area Networks (LANs & WLAN) and Wide Area Networks (WANs) and data communication equipment such as routers, switches, controllers, firewalls and other within the organization and/or project facilities. The Network Technician should understand the company’s standards and their data integrity standards and work under the supervision of the network engineer and/or network admin.
- Assist in design and development of networks and networking components;
- Install, configure and maintain networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN), Firewall landscape, network services (DNS, DHCP, access control; IDS, IPS, proxies, ATP, DLP, SD-WAN, etc.), VMware, VPN remote access, connections and cabling according to design specifications and system standards;
- Program and configure routers, switches and other equipment;
- Manage owned domain names and coordinate network access and use;
- Manage and audit IP addressing and hosted devices within data centres;
- Troubleshoot and repair software, hardware and peripheral devices;
- Replace faulty network hardware components when required;
- Inspect network infrastructure and fix problems and bugs;
- Evaluate network performance and report the needs for improvements;
- Report network operational status;
- Perform up-dating and up-grading of the systems to the latest releases;
- Perform disaster recovery operations and regularly backup data to protect it;
- Perform network operations across multiple on-prem and virtual servers;
- Remotely monitor and manage system alerts, troubleshoot and find faults;
- Provide technical support to network users and co-workers.
