LV Caspian Ltd is part of LV Shipping and Transport Group – an internationally recognized freight forwarder operating worldwide due to growth of the company is currently looking for enthusiastic Operations Manager to start a new role managing and developing International Business.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing communications and operations between project, client offices & teams
• Ensure mobilization and overall transit times requirements are minimized and achieved in line with project / contract requirements
• Management and supervision of cost control and cost savings
• Acting as point of contact between Client’s Project Manager / Team
• Coordinating and fostering teamwork
• Managing Project’s team performance and delegating responsibilities as required
• Establishing and implementing reporting requirements on project progress as required
• Assisting Client Project Manager / Team(s) in the resolution of any issues / problems
• Communicate Client & Project’s mission, vision and targets and setting aims / objectives as required in order to achieve these requirements.
• Offer direction and leadership to Project Team
• Ultimate accountability and responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the project to ensure success.
• Management and responsibility for day-to-day activities of the Project Team / Members
• Ensure all Client requests / queries are handled effectively and in a timely manner
• Identify potential problem areas that will or may affect the supply of services and take necessary remedial action to mitigate such problems
• Responsibility, as part of the Contract delivery team, for the performance of Suppliers/Sub-contractors

Qualifications

• University degree in Economics, International Trade, or International Economic Affairs desired
• Proficient knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel) and ability to work with ERP systems
• Advanced knowledge of spoken and written English, Azerbaijan, Turkish, and Russian
• Strong ability to work in a calm manner whilst under pressure both individually and in the team
• 5+ years’ experience in freight forwarding managerial role with steady work history
• Strong Leadership and Outstanding Customer service skills.

Working Conditions

• Office environment
• 8-hour working day (09:00 – 18:00), Monday to Friday
• Lunch break: 12:00 – 13:00 or 13:00 – 14:00
• Being “on call” out of office ours is important
