Procurement Specialist

Main responsibilities:

• Accepts and executes procurement requests as per company’s procedures
• Raising orders for required goods or services in “1C” program
• Market analysis, research of required materials in local and foreign markets
• Provides company with required fertilizers, pesticides, materials, raw materials and equipment
• Checks the quality of the purchased products
• Considers potential quality problems together with the requestor and takes necessary measures to correct defects
• Maintains the submission of quality certificates for relevant goods
• Conducts business correspondence and negotiations with suppliers
• Maintains price research, RFQ and tenders in accordance with the company’s procedures
• Develops and implements programs to reduce the cost of purchasing goods and services
• Investigates potential suppliers to determine, if they meet the specified requirements – Implements Suppliers Pre-Qualification Procedure
• Actively participates in the creation of the supplier base
• Prepares contractor / supplier performance reports to the Head of Procurement as required
• Prepares and controls of contracts, control over the definition of commercial terms in the contract
• Carries out customs clearance of imported goods when required
• Prepares the necessary documents for customs clearance of imported goods
• Performs other tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor / Head of Procurement.

Main requirements:

• Higher economic education or similar
• CIPS Certificate or other higher grades are desirable
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
• Experience and knowledge in agriculture procurement is desirable
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge of procurement operations (contract management, biding and tendering, logistics (international, custom clearance))
• Good communication and negotiation skills
• Fluency in Azerbaijani, fluence in English or/and Russian languages is a plus
• Proficient user of MS Office and 1C programs
