1. Company Information:

• In March 2015 the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) and KBR announced an agreement to establish a new engineering and support Services Company in Azerbaijan. The legal entity name of the new company is SOCAR-KBR LLC and provides design, engineering, technical, procurement, construction supervision and project management services for projects across the upstream, midstream and downstream oil and gas sectors, in the Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey (AGT) region. The key objective of this strong partnership is to create a world class Azerbaijan-based EPCM services company that will utilize the strengths of both organizations and deliver top quality results by utilizing, developing and promoting Azerbaijani national content. The company has a long-term commitment from both organizations.

2. Position Title: Project Controls Manager

• Work Location: Baku

3. Role synopsis:

• Play key role in establishment of and management to Project Control Process of the “subject” Project

4. Key accountabilities:

• Provide project controls and management support for SOCAR-KBR at “subject” Project.
• Work closely with project management team in development of fully integrated project schedule including levelling of work within agreed priorities, resource levels, milestones and targets (Master Control Schedule).
• Maintain the Master Control Schedule with periodic updates.
• Work closely with contracts, finance and accounting teams in development of fully integrated project cost estimate including cost loading, CAPEX, OPEX, cash flow and similar details (Master Control Estimate).
• Maintain the Master Control Estimate with periodic updates.
• Develop and maintain agreed and approved KPI list for the project.
• Analyse and monitor the plan against KPI and major deliverables on regular basis.
• Maintenance and production of high level and detailed plans on weekly basis.
• Preparation of weekly and monthly planning progress reports, cost reports, respective registers (such as project milestones, interim payment certificates) and dashboards. Identifying and communicating any variances/delta to the baseline.
• Preparation of project s-curve and resource tracking tables.
• Establish interface between “subject” Project and other projects of the SOCAR-KBR to get alignment of key milestones.
• Develop daily, weekly and monthly reporting structure and produce these reports.
• Develop and produce required presentation and leadership reporting upon requests.
• Develop and maintain project risk register.
• Support and manage the invoicing and cash flow of the “subject” project.
• Support assurance and verification processes for following processes:
• Contract and amendment reviews and approvals.
• Project milestones, interim payment certificates and invoices reviews and approvals.
• Other commercial or scope of work-related reviews and approvals.
• Coordinate communication between SOCAR-KBR management with other parties and any other teams (including keeping the required meeting minutes).

5. Essential education, experience and job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business or commerce.
• Minimum 12 years with relevant work experience.
• Fluent in Azerbaijani and English.
• Proficient in the use of; Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the principles of planning, cost estimating and overall project management.
• Previous major oil & gas project experience in similar role.

6. Desirable criteria & qualifications:

• Preference on the candidates with MBA or similar MSc. Degrees.
• Preference on the candidates that possesses formal project management training.
• Previous major oil & gas full field development project experience in similar role.
