Scope:
- Define, develop and execute project strategies and plans, including implementation approach, contracting strategies, budgets and timelines.
- Continuously, ensure that that the project delivers on its primary objections, i.e. project scope, schedule and budget.
- Establish, lead and direct an engaged project team of infrastructure development (construction, equipment, safety, project controls, cost engineering, others) professionals.
- Work closely with APM Terminals corporate functions, especially close collaboration and alignment with Project Execution teams. Ensure implementation and following of project implementation framework.
- Together with the internal teams, PMC and contractors drive regular review of statuses of the project timelines, construction progress, safety.
- Regularly issue written project status and performance reports to the project Steering Committee.
- Ensure timely project Go-Live and ensure smooth integration of the finished project into the running organisation and business.
- Establish and drive a safety culture among own organisation and with contractors.
- Ensure compliance by all contractors and suppliers to APM Terminals’ safety standards and policies.
- Ensure APM Terminals procurement policies are followed.
- Maintain high technical standards and pioneer new techniques for improved project/construction/asset management.

Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years’ proven experience in a delivery focused, project related environment.
- Experience in managing large and complex infrastructure, construction, other heavy Capex type of projects, preferably in the transport and logistics sector, with clear responsibility on achieving safety, time and budget targets.
- Experience in project start-up and setting up a project organisation.
- Excellent managerial skills, including planning, organizing, and directing work.
- Able to exercise discretion and good judgment, with the ability to understand the effect of decisions on people and the company.
- High level of discipline, planning and organisational skills – following through on actions and ensuring necessary documentation.
- Ability to work successfully in a matrix organization, collaborating cross functionally and across cultures to drive results.
- Engaging leadership style, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, sensitive to cultural diversity.
- Ability to influence and engage with all levels of management – maturity in engaging with stakeholders is key.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English.
