Job Title: Shipping & Materials Coordinator

Location: Azerbaijan, Onshore

A vacancy has arisen for a Shipping & Materials Coordinator as part of the Onshore Business Unit and is available for Azerbaijani citizens only.

This role will be part of the Supply Chain Team, within the Warehouse Department, reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader.

The candidate will be responsible to provide safe and efficient logistics, warehousing, materials control, shipping, receiving services to rigs, projects, base departments, etc., covering the functions of receipt, dispatch, handling, storage, disposals, yard organization and including forklift operations (as and when required).

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s Policies and Procedures with special focus on Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental issues.
• Ensure that all equipment and material handled are tagged and identified as necessary and stored / transported / managed in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate all machinery, equipment, tools and handle materials in a safe and proper manner, reporting any deficiencies / defects or maintenance and repair requirements.
• Pack or unpack Cargo Container Units (CCU’s), supplier deliveries and other consignments. Check material, mark, tag or label appropriately, distribute to relevant areas and ensure that the next function involved in the Supply Chain is aware of the presence of the material for action.
• Receive, check materials and equipment including supplier delivery, road or airfreight, offshore return etc. in accordance with Departmental Procedures.
• Report any Overage, Shortage, Damage or otherwise Non-Conforming consignments
• Distribute goods to relevant disposition (i.e. Transit Area, Quarantine, Dispatch, Warehouse, Yard Storage, etc.).
• Ensure all materials are correctly stored in clean, appropriate packaging, binnage, racking, environmental conditions according to storage and environmental controls / procedures.
• Conduct cyclic stock check / inventory control including system adjustment where required and submit stock check reports to Country Supply Manager.
• Prepare equipment mobilizations including related shipping documentation (e.g. Cargo Manifests, Cargo Summary Tickets etc.).
• Perform a periodic review of materials awaiting shipment to ensure that all required items are being prepared and ready for shipment as instructed.
• Assist in packing of CCU’s to relevant standards and guidelines.
• Liaise with and assist any third-party shipping or transportation function as required.
• Stand-in for alternative work discipline as required.
• Complete any other reasonable tasks as delegated by Line Supervisor.
• Assist the Warehouse Team Leader function as required during peak periods, absence etc.

Key Skills/Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of SCM policy, practice, procedure & principles.
• Well organized, proactive and a good communicator.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Commitment to safe working practices, policies and legislation.
• Enthusiastic and hard working.
• Experience in jobs related to materials management within an Oil and Gas or large process industry (petrochemical, pharmaceutical, utilities, CPG or food) is desirable.
• Exposure to SCM methodologies: Inventory management, Supplier Quality Assurance and applicable industry standards is desirable.
• SAP Skills are desirable.
• Fluency in Azerbaijani and intermediate knowledge of English languages (both verbal and written).
• Experience within an equivalent role is advantageous.
