Summary:

The System Administrator (SA) is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure.

Outside of company: All Parties

Requirements:

• Education:Bachelor or Master degree, with a technical major, such as engineering or computer science.
• At least 3 years of work experience in relevant field.
• Foreign Language: English, Russian
• Microsoft/Linux/Cisco Certification is an advantage .
• Advanced understanding of networking protocols & procedures.
• Knowledge of firewalls, routers, switches, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, FTP, internet protocols
• Technical expertise in server, network, virtualization, and peripheral device maintenance, installation, and management

Responsibilities:

• Maintains server systems to ensure servers are stable, software is updated with appropriate patches and downtime is minimized.
• Implements new server and network hardware and corresponding software solutions.
• Ensures that all network systems are functioning and communicating properly. Systems include server hardware, server software, firewalls, routers, network switches, VPNs, cabling, wireless, phone systems, security devices, etc.
• Manages and supports e-mail, database servers, virtualization servers, conferencing and implements secure Internet access where needed.
• Oversees overall network security. Ensures protection from viruses or other security threats, corrupt data and maintain system backups.
• Communicates hardware/software problems with outside support personnel, i.e.: vendors and technical support representatives.
• Provides assistance and guidance to IT Technicians as needed.
• Other duties as assigned
