Tax Intern

We are looking for motivated and qualified interns for Tax Team at UHY LLC , an independent member of UHY International, legally independent accounting and consultancy firms. UHY member firms work with many clients to ensure they are optimizing the structure of their international and statutory operations to be as tax efficient as possible.

Key responsibilities:

• Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, maintaining communication and updating experience team members;
• Assist with tax planning for clients;
• Assist in the preparation of schedules needed to complete tax returns;
• Assist in gathering and organizing information needed in the conduct of various state and local tax audits including but not limited to sales and use, income, and property;
• Conduct tax research and prepare decision grids in support of projects;
• Meet deadlines for completion of tax returns and other projects as assigned;
• Duties will vary based on the needs of the firm and the interns training and experience;
• Use of online taxation systems.

Requirements:

• Well organized; strong initiative, self-starter;
• Inquisitive and eager to learn;
• Ability to effectively communicate with varying levels of management;
• General understanding of Microsoft Office tools and other data analysis tools;
• Conduct tax research and prepare decision grids in support of projects;
• Fluent in Azerbaijani is a must, English and Russian is preferred.
