Technical / Maintenance Worker – in BAKU

About the Job

Technical Worker is responsible for the proper technical support of all maintenance under the supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Delivers basic technical support in areas such as electricity, plumbing, carpentry etc. under supervision.
• Warns immediately the hierarchy of any issues that could have negative consequences or represent a risk (technical malfunctions, accidents).
• Carries out any type of maintenance and repairs of equipment independently, whenever it falls under his competences
• Organizes and supervises activities of subcontracted companies (maintenance, construction, electrical installation etc.) for minor works
• Takes weekly working advance for petty cash expenses, prepares necessary accounting documents (internal request, invoice, sticker on invoice).
• Purchases independently material needed to carry out his tasks and the higher amounts must be approved by the direct supervisor
• Organize monthly payments for internet
• Establishes inventories on request
• Maintains and repairs the electricity network of delegation (short circuits, fuses, lamps, cables, etc.) as well as some electrical devices.
• Maintains and performs minor repairs to water supply system of the delegation.
• Performs minor carpentry works including assembling of furniture.
• Maintains and performs minor construction works.
• Performs minor locksmith works.
• Propose improvements of installation jobs.

Desired Profile and Skills:

• Secondary school/technical diploma/certification
• Fluency in spoken and written Azerbaijani. Knowledge of English and Russian languages is an added advantage.
• Good computer and technical skills
• Very good experience as a technical, maintenance worker
• High level of punctuality, responsibility and accuracy.

This is a full-time position for an employment contract one-year duration (may be extendable) opened to address the humanitarian needs consequent to the current escalation. The duty station is located in Baku.
