Responsibilities:
- Team Management: Software Test manager will have resources reporting to them.
- Approve leaves and Perform yearly performance review evaluation for the direct reports.
- As a Test lead for a Project or Product, Test Lead will be responsible to manage team of test Engineers by assigning work depending on the priority.
- Analyze requirements like Change Proposal, User Stories, Incident etc vs Capacity, to provide estimation for each release and finalize the scope of a release with Management.
- Define test plans and test strategies as part of project team.
- Define test design covering test requirements using Test Management Tool.
- Manage test tasks in JIRA for the Team.
- Participate in customer meetings, project and team meetings as test lead and/or tester.
- Closely work with and Report to (technical) project manager or software development manager about the progress of test activities.
- Responsible for QA deliverables like Qtest, Test Plan/Cases, SignOffs, Test Evidences for each Releases, maintain QA Metrics, Work towards closure of release, maintain the traceability. etc.,
- Communicate with project team members on testing progress and issues.
- Perform peer review within the project for the test case and test scripts.
- Manage and maintain Test Framework, select QA tools & processes.
- Provide feedback about the resources to Managers during appraisal.
- Ensure that CICD process are followed in team like monitoring Jenkin, ensuring the pipelines are up to date.
- Look out for opportunities and improve the process efficiently.
- Mentor and Guide team member.
Requirements:
- A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree (Computer Engineering or Applied Computer Science) or equivalent professional
experience. - Should have around 2 years of Successful team leading experience.
- Should have broad understanding of Software engineering concepts and Testing Methodology.
- Have in-depth experience in impact analysis, test design and test Execution.
- Have experience working in an Agile environment.
- Programming and Debugging skills are must have.
- Should have hands on with Jira and test management tools like QC, ALM or QTEST.
- Excellent communication skills in English, verbal and written; able to communicate with technical people as well as management and business if required.
- Experience on non-functional testing such as performance, security and penetration testing is an advantage.
- ISTQB Foundation Certified (Advance level would be a plus).
- Strong organized, multi-tasking and time management skilled.
- Communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure QA vision is understood and implemented correctly.
