Among job requirements/duties of a successful candidate are as follows:

• Provide high quality translation and interpretation services of all written documents from Azerbaijani and Russian language to English and vice versa;
• Provide high quality simultaneous, consecutive or on-demand interpretation and translation;
• Provide information gathering, research, reporting, and related services of moderate scope and difficulty in the field of political reporting which are of interests to Malaysia;
• Serve as a focal point to facilitate communications and establish contacts with relevant stakeholders;
• Must have extensive and in-depth knowledge of Azerbaijan and its culture, people, social systems, and issues; and
• Perform any other duties as required.

Successful candidates, should at minimum, possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Excellent command of English and Russian, both written and oral;
• Minimum bachelor’s degree qualification in translation, interpretation (English), and/or relevant field in Art, Literature, Human or Social Science is required;
• Minimum three (3) years of professional experience in translating written documents and simultaneous interpreting;
• Excellent IT knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and others);
• Good analytical skills;
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team;
• Good planning, interpersonal and communication skills;
• Good organizational and multitasking abilities;
• Great attention to details with positive attitude; and
• Able to work extra hours.
