Working Days and Hours: 40 hours/weekly, Mon-Fri, working schedule will be agreed.

Agreement Type and Pay: Service agreement with the US office, 1,000AZN –2,000AZN – will be offered based on the experience.

Job Summary:

We are looking to hire a skilled WordPress developer to design and implement attractive and functional websites for our clients. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress custom themes as well as site integration and security updates.

To be a successful WordPress developer, you should have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills. Ultimately, a top-class WordPress developer can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications of the client.

Responsibilities:

• Working with WordPress and write well designed, testable, efficient code for websites hosted on WordPress.
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs.
• Optimize websites’ performance (E.g., optimize speed load, improve web vitals).
• Troubleshoot website problems and fix them.
• Match visual design intent.
• Designing and building the website front-end.
• Discuss website design and function with web designer and marketing team.
• Developing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
• Generating custom website themes.
• Conducting website performance tests.
• Troubleshooting content issues.
• Monitoring the performance of the live website.
• Provide accurate time estimations regarding website builds and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a WordPress developer (at least 3 finalized website projects).
• 3 years of experience in web development is a must.
• 3 years of experience with WordPress is a must.
• 2+ years of experience in Java and CSS is a must.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS, JavaScript, HTML.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools.
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Ability to manage projects.
• Good communication skills.
• English – Intermediate and higher is a plus.
